Lockhart also has an ever-growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular clean beauty company Ilia. The disability she has is part of her persona, however it's not all of the image. The profile of Lockhart on Twitter does not shy away from the fact that she is disabled and does not make a point of it. The point? that we are all a part of a multitude that our identities are complex and that we are greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart talks via video in Nashville. "I do not wish for it to dictate my existence. I do not want to only be recognized as an expert in disabilities. This doesn't influence my day-to-day activities. I conduct my business as usual and have come up with my own methods to adjust. It's a big element of my life and it's imperative to discuss it. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends in the area of self-acceptance. She admits that she has gone through phases of insecurity with her physique and being uncomfortable in certain clothes which showed her arms. She wears what she likes and proudly posts pictures of herself dressed in outfits she picks out on social media. Self-love, she says, is a process. "I do not think that you will ever be there," she said. The same is true for everybody, no matter what their degree of self-confidence. It's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to discern and understand your heart.
