Ashanti Shequoiya, also known by the name Ashanti, is an incredibly popular American singer and actress. She is a singer and actress who hails from her native United States. Ashanti is a teen actor and singer in the US, was signed by Murder Inc. Records to record in 2002. The that same year, she was featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also featured on Fat Joe's song"What's Luv!" as well as the Ja Rules' track Always On Time and Ja Rules track Always On Time, both of which have been hugely successful. In the year she debuted her debut single"What's Luv in the top two spots at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one and Foolish as her debut single, she became the only female to achieve this feat. The first female artist to have both of the top two spots on The Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States With Foolish as number one and the other being What's Loving? Let's celebrate the special occasion together. Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also known in the media as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York on the 13th of October, 1980. Tina Douglas, her mother was a former teacher of dance. Ken-Kaide Douglas is her father. Kenashia Schia Douglas is her younger sister is older. Douglas chose the name Ashanti Shia Douglas after her mother, who was from the Ashanti Empire in Ghana where women were influential and powerful. Douglas wanted Ashantis to adopt this model. James' grandfather was associated with Martin Luther King Jr. as a civil right activist during the 1960s. Her mother was aware of the talent of her daughter as she listened to her sing Mary J. Blige's Reminisce. Ashanti performed as an part-time actress on Spike Lee's Malcolm X in 1992 and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? In addition, she appeared in music videos such as 8-Off Ghettogirl, and K.R.S. Act One MC's The People You've Never Even Met. Although she was offered by several record labels like Bad Boy or Jive, Ashanti had trouble finding success being an artist. In spite of this her persistence, she continued to perform in New York. Then, she was at Murder Inc. Studios hoping to get a breakthrough. Ashanti was initially a backup vocalist for Big Pun's track"How We Roll. Additionally, she was featured in the Fat Joe song "What's Luv?" as well as Ja Rule's Always on Time. In her debut song Foolish the song by DeBarge's Me from 1983 is sampled. Ashanti's self-titled first album was released in 2002 on Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. The Declaration the fourth studio album, was released on 3 June 2008. Hey Baby was released for radio and on digital platforms on the 16th of October, 2009. The actress also appeared in the films Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair. Aitch was a British rapper sampled her song Rock wit U for Baby on March 10, 2022.
